If your child is participating in Choir/KFC on Wednesday evenings and would like to have pizza before the practice, please call Nako by Noon that day. We’ll have pizza around 5:40 p.m. The cost is $3.00 per child.

Sunday Morning KFC— Children in Kindergarten through 5th grade—join us Sunday mornings in Room 204 in the Rich Building at 9:45 or 11:00. Children will go to the 11:00 a.m. worship service in the Sanctuary, then we will go to Room 212 in the Rich Building. This is a time for children to worship, listen to God, respond to God, and hear the stories from the Bible.

Wednesday Night KFC

Every Wednesday at 6:00 p.m. we have the following schedule:

6:00 Sign-in @ Room 204 followed by warm-up for children’s choir in Room 205, then off to Fellowship Hall

6:45 Children back to Room 205

6:45-7:45 p.m. Small Group Program/Activity

7:45-8:30 p.m. Parents pick-up children.

Snack and drink donations are needed for KFC. Please bring your donations to the Church Office.

Children’s Ministry

The children’s programs here at First Church are provided under the name of “Kids for Christ (KFC)” and cover kindergarten through 5th grade. Safety is a priority at First Church, thus, all volunteers undergo a background check to ensuring the safety of all children.

Mission Statement

The Children's Ministry will nurture families as they build a spiritual foundation that will lead to a relationship with Jesus Christ. We will provide an environment in which children are safe, and taught at an age appropriate level.

Programs

KFC Wednesday Nights: Interactive programming is the focus of the Wednesday night experience. Activities run from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm each week in room 205. Childcare is provided until 8:30 pm for children whose parents are in bible study.

Sunday Mornings:

Each Sunday morning, Sunday School is offered at 9:45 am and 11:00 am for children K-5. Check-in is in room 204. The morning begins with a large group gathering time followed by individual classroom time by grade level.

Children's sermons are given during our 8:30 am and 11:00 am worship services. Children's bulletins are available in all three services for those children attending services with their families.

Seasonal: During the year, several fun events are offered for the children and their families. These activities include (1) an Easter egg hunt, (2) Vacation Bible School, (3) Rocktoberfest and (4) a special Children's Christmas Eve service.
