Rev. Rwth Anne Fuquay
Rwth Anne most recently served as the Associate Director in the Office of Clergy Excellence of the Florida Conference of The United Methodist Church. Her nineteen years of ministry experience includes serving as a pastor and associate pastor in a variety of local churches in Massachusetts, Mississippi, and Florida, as well as a chaplain at Millsaps College. She also serves as a spiritual formation teacher, retreat leader, and pilgrimage guide. Rwth Anne graduated summa cum laude from both Mount Holyoke College with a Bachelors of Arts degree in English Literature and Religious Studies, and from Boston University School of Theology with a Masters of Divinity degree. The spelling of her first name reflects her Welsh heritage.

Rev. David Fuquay
David most recently served as Director of Higher Education and Campus Ministry for the Florida Conference of The United Methodist Church. Prior to that appointment, he served in Gainesville as Pastor/Director at University UMC and Student Center, which became the Gator Wesley Foundation during his tenure. He served previously as a pastor of churches in Mississippi, as well as a program coordinator at the Fund for Theological Education in Atlanta. David graduated from Millsaps College with a Bachelors of Arts in Religious Studies and from Duke University Divinity School with both a Masters of Divinity degree and a Masters of Theology degree.
Rev. Dr. John Few
Dr. John Few is a native of North Carolina. He is a graduate of The Divinity School at Duke University, and holds a doctorate from the Candler School of Theology at Emory University. He and his wife Jean have been in Ocala for twenty years where he has been serving as Visitation Minister.
Dr. Jeff Rogers
Director of Music
Dr. Jeff Rogers grew up in Springfield, IL where he enjoyed a music filled upbringing. He has earned a Bachelors and Masters of Music from the Peabody Conservatory of Johns Hopkins University and a Doctorate in worship studies from the Robert E. Webber Institute for Worship Studies. Prior to moving to Florida, Jeff was on the faculty at Southeastern Louisiana University and served as Director of Music at New Covenant Presbyterian of Mandeville, LA.
Jeff is married to his wife Lauren and they have two young boys, Graham and Miles. When not at the church, Jeff enjoys playing with his boys and spending family time at the various Florida attractions.
Director of Children’s and Family Ministries
Shannon Vianello born in Hattisburg, MS and moved to Ocala, FL at the age of seven. The youngest of three sisters, she was confirmed and even sang in the Children’s Choir at Ocala First UMC. She graduated from the University of Florida with a degree in Elementary Education and married her husband Mark Vianello in 1992. Shannon and Mark have three wonderful kids, John, Nicole and Christine who keep them very busy. When she isn’t doing Children’s Ministry stuff or “being a mom” she enjoys decorating, going on adventures, playing with her Golden Retrievers, being with her family and then finding more ideas for Children’s Ministry!”
Director of Youth Ministries
Austin Holland comes to FUMC from the Charlotte, NC area. Born and raised in Statesville, NC he attended college at Campbell University, near Raleigh NC, obtaining a B.A. in Christian Ministry. Austin has worked extensively with youth groups throughout his college career and spent each of his college summers working with the youth program at Lake Junaluska. Austin is an outdoorsy human, (being from the mountains of NC will do that to a person) and is always down for a hiking/camping/backpacking adventure.
Director of Nusery
Ennis Wynne was born in Charleston, SC, but grew up here in Ocala. She joined FUMC in July 1988. She formerly served as Director of the Preschool and presently is Director of the Nursery. Ennis feels that she has the perfect job because she has the opportunity to provide a loving and caring place for our little children and their parents. She was married to the former Bob Wynne, and she has one daughter, Alexis. In her spare time Ennis loves playing bridge.
Secretary to the Ministers
Sue Ross joined the staff of Ocala First United Methodist Church in September, 1994 as a part-time receptionist. In January, 1995 her position changed to full-time. Since then she has held several different staff positions – becoming the Secretary to the Ministers in 1997. Sue is married to Larry and they have one daughter, Amanda. When she isn’t in the Church Office she enjoys motorcycling with her husband, reading and watching sports.
Nancy was born in North Carolina but has lived in Ocala most of her life. She grew up in the First Methodist congregation and has been employed at FUMC since 1996. In her spare time Nancy enjoys music, photography, reading, and spending time with friends.
Ron Neal was born in Charleston WV and has a Bachelor of Science degree in Music Education and Organ from Concord University and a Master of Music in Church Music, Organ and Conducting from Westminster Choir College, Princeton, NJ. Additional studies include course work at the Royal School of Church Music in the UK, and with the Lutheran Church of Sweden, and study on historically significant organs throughout Europe. Ron retired in August, 2016 from the Presbyterian Church (USA) after 39 years of service as an Organist and Choirmaster for congregations in Indiana, Virginia, Maryland and West Virginia. He then moved to Lakeland in September, 2016, and promptly joined the FUMC staff as organist.
