Response to Hurricane Harvey – First United Methodist Church of Ocala

HOW YOU CAN HELP:

Give a donation of cash to UMCOR (United Methodist Committee on Relief).  100% of these donations are used for direct aid in helping those affected by the storm. Click the donate button to make your secure online donation to UMCOR today!

2) Put together a flood bucket or two and bring it by the church. CLICK HERE for information on a flood bucket.

3)  Put together a personal hygiene kit and bring it by the church.   CLICK HERE for information on a hygiene kit.

Deadline for receiving Hygiene Kits is September 17! Drop them by the church office during the week or in the Family Life Center on Sunday mornings or Weds evenings.

4) Don’t feel like you can donate a full flood bucket or hygiene kits but want to contribute to those efforts?   Consider donating the cost of a few flood buckets ($65) or hygiene kits ($12) and we’ll do the rest.  Make sure you designate “Harvey Response Kits” on the donation.

5) Pray for those affected, for those providing relief and for those who are displaced, devastated and discouraged. Keep in touch with friends and family in the affected areas. Encourage them, look for ways to assist them, and pray for them. Pray also for UMCOR (United Methodist Committee on Relief) and our United Methodist Churches who are in the impacted communities and all of the agencies and partners responding to those in need.

September 17 will be here before you know it. Start on those flood buckets and hygiene kits today!
