Children’s Care: For children ages six-weeks
through four years
Preschool:
The FUMC Preschool Ministry offers a safe and security
Christian environment; small classes; an innovative and exciting music
program; strong parent involvement and support; and a caring, qualified
and dedicated staff. This ministry has been enriching the children’s
lives since 1978. Children of all faiths are welcome.
Learning is gained through experience and play that prepares
students for academic success in Kindergarten. We have a first class library
staffed by retired school librarians. The library is used for the children’s
story time and to check out books. An exceptional music program, vocal
and instrumental, is offered twice weekly by local, certified music teacher
Bebe Schank. The children learn kindness, caring and thankfulness in their
daily social experiences. Field trips and special community programs provide
additional opportunities for learning and fun. On Fridays, the children
have special programs in a beautiful chapel.
Small classes ensure an optimum learning experience with
individual attention for children. A staff of accredited teachers incorporates
into every carefully planned activity the academic skills children need
to become successful learners. Parents are involved in all aspects of
the preschool and their feedback and opinions are vital to providing a
successful learning experience for their children.
Infants and Toddlers:
We are pleased to offer infant and toddler care in specially
designed and equipped rooms. This enables us to provide a safe and loving
environment for these small children of God.
Rates:
Rate information will be shared at the time of the pre-registration
visit. Children who will be four by September 1 can take advantage of
the state’s Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten (VPK) program at a reduced
tuition rate.
Pre-registration Visit:
The staff encourages pre-registration visits by parents
and grandparents to learn more about this wonderful Christian opportunity
for children. Please call 620-0003 to make arrangements for a visit.
